Ever wondered what path you was meant to take?
Unfortunately, I received the worst possible outcome due to my ignorance, naivety, and belief that I knew everything at 15. I often struggle with how to share this story—should I portray myself as the victim, the survivor, or can I be both?
There are many times I wish I could shout my story from the rooftops because I am proud of myself for fighting every day. My goal is to inspire others to believe they can also achieve freedom after their final battle.
I escaped my first love relationship, which was marked by nearly five years of extreme torture, abuse, and manipulation. I was molded into someone who couldn't say no, have her own opinions, or make her own choices. Isolated and compelled to turn against my own family, I was left with only the antagonist in this narrative. I could spend all day detailing the horror I lived through, believing it was a normal life. But that's not what I want to write about.
Eventually, I returned to my family home, finally feeling safe and protected. With a suitcase in one hand and a newborn baby in the other, I said, "Hey mum, I'm home." After a year of medication, therapy, and intensive treatments, I was on a journey to discover a better version of myself. I didn't want to become the person he shaped; I didn't want this experience to consume or define me and the person I aspired to be. I felt weak, shy, and utterly terrified of life, not to mention the new world of motherhood I had just entered.
Becoming a mother to a 1-year-old at 19 made finding a job challenging. I didn't have a car or a driver's license. I bought a car so my dad could teach me to drive while I searched for jobs online and distributed my CV to positions where I had some experience, but I had no success. I couldn't just give up; I wanted more for myself and my daughter. This is when a spark ignited within me, and something exciting began to grow—a desire to fight for what I wanted and for my own choices.

Then i finally had some good luck come my way, i found an advert for pet sitting a beautiful puppy called Cody and thats where it all began.
Handywoman Holly didn't know what was coming for her. Do you want to hear what happened next, how i went from pet sitting to a professional successful business woman? Keep your eyes out for the next post, the best is yet to be told.
My mission from telling you this story, is to empower others to believe in themselves. Don't let others determine the person you want to become or could become. I want to start a campaign by using my platform to start a charity to help others in my situation to grow into someone they can look at in the mirror and say 'I'M PROUD OF MYSELF'
If you have read this, and know someone that needs a push in the right direction, leave a message and ill send my sparkle their way.
